From the very first drawing it looked like the subject,
I amazed myself!

ANNETTE P, Student

Why don't more people feel confident about drawing? Even when there's no assessment or marks?

I'm here to help you build your confidence, your experience and add joy and richness to your life... through drawing.

Together we'll find the things you most love to draw, and what to draw them with.

And then we'll find ways to include drawing in your everyday (because then suddenly, you become a 'drawer', and maybe even one day you'll know you're an 'artist'! Baby steps.)

It's all about FILLING THE BOOK :)

Introducing Shiny Happy Drawing

Fun - fun - fun! Anna presents the exercises in an easygoing, insightful manner. She puts you perfectly at ease with what you are doing.

ALICIA HARVEY, Student

This workshop is for you if:

  • You want to feel comfortable drawing (maybe even in public!)
  • You want richer memories
  • You want to draw with your kids, friends or family because it looks like fun

This workshop is NOT for you if:

  • You want lots of theory and boring stuff with big words
  • You want to stick exclusively to your current drawing style
  • You aren't interested in experimenting a little

I would definitely be recommending this course to others who enjoy this style of art - Anna's way of explaining things is so easy to 'get'. The structure, FB live videos and the wee bonuses all add up to a course that is definitely value for money.

BRONWYN HOLGATE, Student

Hi! I'm Anna Bartlett, your artist and guide

One of my earliest memories is of my mother giving me a paintbrush and a bucket of water to draw my way down our long, cement driveway. By the time I got to the end the top had dried so I could start all over again! (Good one, Mum!)

I think in pictures, so drawing really helps with that. It's a way to sort out the day to day. And after a recent trip overseas I realised that my drawings were my favourite souvenir.

In the seven years I've been teaching art to adults I'm amazed at how many people think they're no good at drawing and just give up... and it just takes a little nudge and a bit of guidance to get them back on this fun wagon.

So come, join me!

Let me guide you, step-by-step
over 6 Modules

Lesson 1: Who What Where How
We'll figure out all the reasons that drawing will make YOUR life better, and then work on doing that.

Lesson 2: Getting Spacey
And I'm not talking about Kevin. This week we'll look at what we're actually seeing, and the importance of the things that we're not.

Lesson 3: Long Short Big Small
The way we choose to draw can be so freeing... or not. We'll figure out what works best for you so that drawing is, quite simply, fun.

Lesson 4: 3D from 2D
How can we trick the eye into thinking that thing on the blank page has form and dimension? We'll work some magic.

Lesson 5: Colour is Life
Simple as that. Turn your drawing into something REALLY special with all these ways of adding colour.

Lesson 6: Not the end
I'll share some real-world projects that will help you bring drawing into your every day. And THAT, my friend, is a very cool way to live.
